2. Hazard Identification
Health hazard: Rating 0 (Minimal)
Flammability hazard: Rating 1 (Slight)
Reactivity hazard: Rating 0 (Minimal)
Acute - Swallowed: No known effects / minimal toxicity. May cause choking if swallowed. Large amounts may cause nausea and vomiting.
Acute - Skin: Skin contact may result in mechanical injury or abrasion. This is a low risk hazard. Thermal burns may result from exposure to hot material.
Acute - Inhaled: Inhalation of fines may cause irritation of nose and throat. Fumes given off during processing can cause respiratory irritation, headache and nausea.
Fire / Exploration hazard: Extinguishing media - Carbon Dioxide, foam, dry chemical, water fog or fine water spray. Firefighters must use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide, Aldehydes, Acetic Acid, Ketones, Acrolein, Ethane and Methane.

4. First aid measures
Swallowed: Rinse mouth with plenty of water. Drink water and seek medical assistance if necessary.
Inhaled: Remove patient from vapours and take to fresh air.
Skin (molten form): If molten material comes into contact with the skin, run water on the skin until cooled. Seek medical assistance for prompt removal of the adhering material and treatment of the burn. DO NOT remove material or clothing from skin. Removal may result in further damage to skin.
5. Fire fighting measures
Extinguishing agents: Carbon Dioxide, Foam, Dry Chemical, Water Fog or Fine Water Spray.
Specific hazards: Build up of airborne dusts may cause a dust explosion.
Precautions for fire fighters: Fire fighters must use self contained breathing apparatus.
6. Accidental release measures
Precautions (disposal): Disposal of film should conform to local regulations. Loose film is slippery and may be a trip hazard.
7. Handling and storage
Storage and handling: No special requirements. Storing under 35 degrees Celsius in dry conditions are recommended. The film comes in rolls and can be heavy. Care should be taken when moving rolls to ensure rolls don't drop unexpectedly and safet lifting practises should be utilised when handling rolls or cartons. The products listed in this MSDS are not classified as dangerous goods.
8. Exposure controls and personal protection
Personal protective equipment: Thermal resistant gloves should be worn when handling hot materials. Use safety glasses.
Engineering controls: Good ventilation is required when heat sealing film. Avoid inhaling dusts and fumes that may be generated.
9. Physical and chemical properties
Appearance: Clear, white or coloured film in rolls or as individual bags or sheets from 0.02mm to 0.35mm thickness.
Decomposition temperature: >250 degrees Celsius
Melting point: >100 degrees Celsius
Flammability: Combustible solid. May form flammable dust clouds in air. Polymer may burn in presence of extreme heat and oxygen. Avoid extreme heat.
Ignition temperature: 350 degrees Celsius
10. Stability and reactivity
Stability (thermal, light): Stable
Materials to avoid: Strong oxidising agents
Conditions to avoid: Extreme heat
